============================================================================= HIGH CPU usage (IMPORTANT: You need to have "pslist" and "userdump" installed ============================================================================= If you experience high CPU usage of ANY program please do the following: 1. Click on “Start” > “Run” and type “cmd” 2. Type: cd c:\windows\internet logs 3. Type: pslist /x > pslist.txt 4. Type: userdump (name of the program that uses all the CPU including .exe. Example: “userdump winword.exe” or “userdump zlclient.exe”) 5. Now trigger a BSOD by doing one of the following: a. Hold down the RIGHT Ctrl Key and press on “Scroll” twice b. Click on “Start” > “Run” and type “cmd”. Type: bang.exe Bang.exe will open up and all you need to do is to press “Crash now” 6. Submit error logs to the Zone Labs Beta team (see under "submit error logs" below how to) ============================================================================= SYSTEM OR PROGRAM HANG ============================================================================= If you experience any kind of System or Program hang, please trigger a BSOD so we get a complete memory dump. There are at least two different ways to trigger a BSOD: 1. Hold down the RIGHT Ctrl Key and press on “Scroll” twice 2. Click on “Start” > “Run” and type “cmd”. Type: bang.exe Bang.exe will open up and all you need to do is to press “Crash now” ============================================================================= SUBMIT ERROR LOGS ============================================================================= Once you have done all the requested steps, please submit all your files to us. This can take quiet a while (the more SYSTEM memory you have the larger the created Memory dump files are) You may see the progress bar of the errorsubmission get "stuck" in the beginning. This is, because we zip up all the files and this can take a while. IMPORTANT: Please do not submit these files if you are a dial-up user unless you are prepared to let the submission run for a long time. Here is how you submit all your logs: 1. Open the Beta software 2. Hold down the ALT+CTRL Key and double-click on the Zone Labs icon in the upper left corner. 3. Enter your email 4. Enter your case number (format is: CASE (your case number for this report here) 5. Make sure that the checkbox to “Submit all files” is selected 6. Click on submit
